Gregory Camou is a Client Partner, heading the Mining and Natural Resources sector. He also specialises in Finance in Eurasia and Africa. Mr. Camou is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and manages our business operations in Central Asia. He has worked in consulting and investment banking since 1995 and has been continuously active in the Mining and Natural Resources sector since 1997 as a Financial Analyst, Consultant, and Investor.
Prior to joining Pedersen & Partners, he was a Managing Partner with Scodev International, based in London and in Moscow. During the mid/late 1990s, he worked as a Financial Analyst and Investment Banker, most notably for Capital Regent Securities (Sun Group’s brokerage/investment bank) and Menatep’s Investment Department. During his career, Mr. Camou has developed detailed sector expertise in Financial Services, Private Equity, Technology, Industrial/Manufacturing, Engineering, Packaging, Agribusiness, Consumer and Retail, Healthcare, Petrochemicals, and Mining. He has closed CEO and Board-level searches in each of these sectors.
Mr. Camou holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Finance from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Grenoble. He is French with Russian and African roots, and speaks native French, fluent English, Russian, and conversational German.
