Karen Halliday is a Principal at Pedersen & Partners, based in London. Karen brings over twenty years of executive search expertise in private equity and corporate finance. With a career spanning almost thirty years in the alternative asset industry, she specialises in mandates for UK and pan-European General Partners, focusing primarily on the placement of investment professionals, CFOs and investor relations professionals. Karen is a three-time award winner for the best in UK private equity search. Prior to joining Pedersen & Partners, she was a partner at a London-based boutique private equity search firm, and before that, she ran her own private equity search firm for over a decade. Karen’s executive search career began in 2003 at a prominent London-based search consultancy, where she led the private equity team within two years of joining. Before pivoting to executive search, Karen was the Group Financial Controller at a pan-European growth capital fund. She began her professional journey by qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with PwC, London.
Karen holds a First-Class Honours BA in Economics from the University of Reading, and an Investment Management Certificate from the CFA Institute. She is a Chartered Accountant, and a member of the ICAEW.
