Pedersen & Partners presentation on "MBI/MBO as a career option and other career opportunities in CEE"
Fontainebleau, INSEAD - Poul Pedersen, Managing Partner and Andrea Risa, Regional Consultant at Pedersen & Partners made a presentation on the career opportunities in Central and Eastern Europe.
The presentation and the following discussion covered the following topics:
- Difference between MBI (Management buy-out)/MBO (Management buy-in) and the ownership of a company or corporate career; advantages and disadvantages of these career paths;
- Overview of career opportunities in Central and Eastern Europe both from the employer and manager’s perspective.
Andrea Risa is INSEAD alumnus. He joined Pedersen & Partners in 2006 as a Regional Consultant having previously worked for three years in sales and product marketing with Nokia Networks in the Philippines and Finland and for three years as Business Development Manager with Sonera in Finland.
Poul Pedersen is the Managing Partner of Pedersen & Partners and is also in charge of Private Equity and Venture Capital Practice. He has conducted executive search assignments in the region since 1995, has written numerous articles and has spoken on leadership issues at conferences. Previously Poul Pedersen was a Managing Director for a manufacturing company in the Czech Republic owned by the A. P. Moller Group, prior to that he worked for eight years with KPMG in Copenhagen and Brussels.
